Our 3-day intensive course at Roseur Flower School in King’s Cross is designed to immerse you in the art of sculptural floral design. Whether you’re looking to master advanced techniques or explore a new creative journey, this course offers a hands-on experience guided by expert florists.

Day 1: Foundations of Floral Design 10-4pm

Morning Session

• Elements and Principles of Design: Learn the fundamentals that form the backbone of sculptural floral art, including balance, proportion, and texture.

• Hand-Tied Bouquet: Create a stunning hand-tied bouquet using fresh and dried flowers, focusing on structure and style.

Lunch Break

• Enjoy a relaxing break and connect with fellow participants.

Afternoon Session

• Colour Theory: Discover how to use colour effectively to evoke emotion and enhance your designs.

• Vase Arrangement: Create a visually striking vase arrangement, applying principles of colour harmony and design.

Day 2: Advanced Techniques and Creative Experimentation 8-5pm

Morning Session

• Flower Market Tour: Explore New Covent Flower Market to select fresh and unique materials for your designs.

• Table Centrepiece: Design an elegant table centrepiece that combines structure, colour, and texture.

Lunch Break

Afternoon Session

• Hanging Installation Using Chicken Wire: Create a dramatic hanging floral installation using chicken wire as a base, incorporating innovative techniques and seasonal blooms.

Day 3: Bringing It All Together 8-5pm

Morning Session

• Preparation for Large-Scale Installation: Plan and prep the components for a large-scale floral installation, focusing on cohesion and structural integrity.

Lunch Break

Afternoon Session

• Group Collaboration: Connect individual projects to create one magnificent, large-scale installation. The completed installation will be exhibited at Coal Drops Yard for two days for public viewing. Participants can collect their flowers two days after the exhibition.
